Fort Lauderdale, FL — February 14, 2011 — With over 1,400 travel agents already registered, Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has officially sold-out and has opened a registration wait list for cruise3sixty 2011, April 14-18 in Fort Lauderdale.

“We want to ensure that cruise3sixty delegates have an optimum conference experience. To that end we have opened a wait list and urge all agents who wish to attend to put their name on it. We will make every effort to accommodate those who sign up,” said Bob Sharak, CLIA’s executive vice president for marketing and distribution. “In the meantime, all agents, whether they’re registered or not, are also encouraged to submit nominations for the CLIA 2011 Hall of Fame.”

The deadline for submissions to the CLIA Cruise Industry Hall of Fame is February 15. The Hall of Fame recognizes those cruise industry representatives, past and present, whose efforts and accomplishments represent a significant contribution to and positive impact on the development and growth of cruise vacations. Inductees are chosen in the categories of cruise line executive, cruise retailer, and an “At Large” category that may be any individual, such as an additional retailer or cruise line executive, a politician, publisher, or shipbuilder, whose accomplishments warrant nomination. Agents may submit names by going and clicking on the Hall of Fame icon.

CLIA officials also announced the line up of entertainment for the Gala Hall of Fame Dinner Saturday evening, April 16. As has become tradition, the Hall of Fame induction ceremony will serve as a showcase for the innovative entertainment that vacationers enjoy on today’s cruise ships. This year, Celebrity Cruises will offer its unique, sea-going European-style circus spectacular. Norwegian Cruise Line will introduce “Legends in Concert,” with live celebrity impersonations of iconic performers. And, Royal Caribbean International will present Mosaic, the Las Vegas-based, prize-winning A Cappella singing group.
For more information and to be placed on the cruise3sixty wait list, agents should visit www.cruise3sixty.comwithout delay.
