    CLIA Releases Second Travel Agent Cruise Industry Outlook Report of 2017

    Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) released today it’s most recent Travel Agent Cruise Industry Outlook Report, uncovering cruise travel trends and key insights from within the travel agent industry. The report is part of an ongoing research study from CLIA intended to forecast cruise industry trends among travel agents. This installment of the Travel Agent Cruise Industry Outlook found that more than 80 percent of travel agents say their cruise volume has increased in 2017, and three-quarters say their clients are spending more this year on cruise tourism.

    Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Celebrates Cruise Travel in the Americas and the Caribbean as Part of Plan a Cruise Month

    It’s the second week of Plan a Cruise Month and Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), the unified voice and leading authority of the global cruise community, is highlighting cruise destinations in the Americas and the Caribbean. While areas in the Caribbean were recently impacted by hurricanes, the industry is reporting that close to 50 destinations are still welcoming cruise travelers. Additionally, there are several other cruise embarkation ports and destinations throughout the Americas.

    Cruise Lines, Passengers and Crew Spent a Record 21.69 Billion in 2016, Jumping 15 Percent Since 2011

    Cruise lines, their passengers and crew spent a record $21.69 billion in the U.S. in 2016, up 15 percent since 2011 and representing a new peak in U.S. cruise industry expenditures, according to a new study from Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), the world’s largest cruise industry trade association.
