The Archaeological Museum features gold from 4000 BC Necropolis graves. Black Sea resorts, a vacation spot for Russian hierarchy during USSR days, sports white sands resembling Miami Beach.
Try thinly sliced loukanka sausage, banitsa cheese pie, Rhodope cheverme, fire-roasted lamb and baklava pastries with Dimyat or Gamza wines.

Important note: Bulgarians nod “yes” opposite to most of the world, but some accommodate outsiders by reversing traditional yes and no nods. During transactions, ensure that your “yes” translates as affirmative.
