This week we celebrated the first official day of summer.  I don’t know where you are but I know it is hot where I am!  Hot, in many respects – one being the weather and another being CLIA’s TrainingFest.  TrainingFest kicks off in July with brand new seminars, a more convenient schedule and complimentary extras.  No better way to stay cool and up to date on or even begin your Cruise Counselor Certifications.

Our very popular traveling two-day program of seminars combined with a trade show provides you with the opportunity to earn up to 70 CLIA Cruise Counselor credits.  From mid-July through the beginning of October, TrainingFest will visit 11 cities throughout the US and two locations in Canada.

Still winding down from spring and hadn’t had time to plan a summer getaway?  Why not plan one in any one of the cities we will be training in.  TrainingFest seminars are held on Fridays and Saturdays, so just  add a Monday to your weekend and tour our Nation’s capital; contact one of your cruise line BDMs and schedule a ship inspection (or better yet, a cruise!) in one of our featured port cities; have it your way in the Big Apple!  These are just a few examples of how to combine business with a little pleasure, and depending on where you live and your tax laws….you may even be able to write the entire trip off! 

And remember, travel with a friend.  Seminars are open to both CLIA and non-CLIA travel agents.

October is a very special month indeed, lots of celebrations take place.  Its distinctive days include:  Christopher Columbus’, one of cruising’s first Captains, birthday; National Boss’ Day; Mother-in-Law Day; and of course, for all you ghouls and goblins out there….Hallows Eve or more commonly, Halloween.  Stay tuned for news to be released about CLIA’s own nationally recognized distinguished events to be held this October.
