Port Everglades recorded an 18.4 percent increase in multi-day cruise activity for the first six months of its fiscal year, with 2.5 million cruise passengers embarking and debarking for the period ending March 31. "These trends show the resilience of the Caribbean cruise market and the importance of the cruise industry for South Florida," says Port Everglades Director Phil Allen. "Interestingly, some of the highest ship occupancy rates are on those ships that sail year-round from Port Everglades."
Time may continue to pass us by, but the major (business) lesson from this time of year reigns supreme for another twelve months. Everyone, regardless of the color and size of their Easter Basket is familiar with the good ole Easter Egg Hunt. (Now that I think of it, I did not hear news of the Annual White House Hunt.) Find those little colored babies or not, there is one GIANT reminder we can all benefit from when it comes to this annual free-for-all. (more)
