Uniworld christens Antoinette

This very chandelier that once hung in New York’s famous Tavern on the Green restaurant. The S.S. Antoinette begins her inaugural season sailing on March 27, 2011 on Uniworld’s popular Castles along the Rhine.

Oceania Cruises: New single-day booking record

Oceania Cruises recently topped its previous single-day booking record by nearly 25 percent, the luxury cruise line operator said in a release last week. The milestone was driven by advance reservations for its newest ship Riviera, and the launch of its 2012 European cruise collection.

Port Awards Cruise Terminal Design to CH2M Hill & Local Partners

The $2.4-million design project for the new terminal will begin this month. Actual renovation work will also begin this year, with a targeted opening date by the third quarter of 2012. “Today is a major milestone toward the realization of the Union Pier Concept Plan,” said City of Charleston Mayor Joseph P. Riley Jr.
