Customer Profile
Disney Cruise Line ships were designed with specific areas and activities to
entertain and delight adults, families and children, creating the ultimate vacation
experience for every member of the family.
News to Use in 2005
- An exciting new stage show,
expanded facilities for age-specific
activities and new itineraries
ensure that today’s Disney
Cruise Line vacation is better
than ever.
- In the last few years, countless
enhancements have been made aboard
the Disney Magic and Disney
Wonder cruise ships, as well
as Disney’s private island
paradise, Castaway Cay. As a result,
today Disney Cruise Line approaches
2005 as the top family cruise vacation.
- Age-Specific Activities – In
response to guest feedback, the Disney
Wonder debuts three new areas
to accommodate the varied interests
of both teens and adults.
- Aloft is
a teen haven perfect for relaxing
or socializing with newfound friends.
With a cozy décor that is
a cross between a college dormitory
and a trendy coffee shop, the space
is loaded with comfy couches and
overstuffed chairs. The venue features
the latest video games, a collection
of magazines, MP3 listening stations,
a variety of board games, computers
with internet access and a bar
that dispenses both soft-drinks
and smoothies. Aloft hosts
a variety of activities, some specifically
for younger teens, others for older
teens and some designed for the
entire group. The Disney Wonder is
the first ship in the Disney fleet
to feature this new teen area.
- New for adults are Cove
Café and Diversions.
Cove Café, an indoor
lounge alternative adjacent
to the Quiet Cove pool, provides
an area for guests to relax
with a popular magazine, access
their email and enjoy gourmet
coffee and tea, specialty drinks
and light fare. Diversions,
a traditional pub located in
the ship’s nighttime
entertainment district, is
designed to host televised
sporting events, trivia-based
game shows and sing-along karaoke.
- The new Pirates IN the Caribbeanparty
is taking over the Disney Cruise
Line ship, transforming guests
aboard into pirates for the evening
and treating them to a scrumptious
dinner feast and adventurously
themed deck party that would make
Captain Jack Sparrow proud. This
newly themed evening brings together
the traditional cruise dinner and
deck party with a rowdy buccaneer
bash combining invigorating entertainment,
themed dining experiences and brand
new special effects for an evening
that’s perfect for every
member of the family.
- For the first time, Disney Cruise
Line is catching the wave to southern
California, repositioning its flagship Disney
Magic for the summer of 2005,
offering seven-night cruise vacations
from the Port of Los Angeles to
the Mexican Riviera. Just in time
to celebrate one of Disney’s
biggest milestones – Disneyland’s
big 5-0 – the highly distinctive
2,600-passenger ship is scheduled
to sail 12 consecutive seven-night
cruise vacations each Saturday
from the Port of Los Angeles to
Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlán
and Cabo San Lucas between May
28 and August 19, 2005.

Company Profile
Sailing under the banner of its appropriate
tag line “180 Degrees From Ordinary,”
Windstar was created with the vision
to offer an alternative to the typical
cruise or resort vacation. Well known
for cruising off the beaten path,
the upscale line offers “Romance
Under Sail,” visiting exotic
locales and hidden harbors that larger
ships cannot access.
Windstar’s distinctive four-
and five-masted ships -- the Wind
Star, Wind Spirit and Wind Surf --
will again be sailing some of the
world’s most beautiful waters,
with strong presences in Tahiti and
the Society Islands, the Caribbean
and Europe, including the Mediterranean
and Baltic Seas. In addition, the
Wind Spirit and Wind Surf will operate
three trans-Atlantic voyages of 14
days each for guests who wish to experience
the unique thrill of crossing an ocean
in a spectacular sailing ship.
Windstar’s unique concept of
sailing has led the cruise industry
in the luxury small ship, casual attire,
and alternative dining arenas. Pioneering
and refining these concepts has earned
Windstar an excellent reputation and
market niche, winning the allegiance
of a whole new generation of contemporary
cruise vacationers, one-third of whom
are first-time cruisers.
The company’s cruise vacations
offer a seaside window on the world,
combining the relaxed refinement of
a luxury hotel with a moveable feast
of cultural experiences. Seattle-based
Windstar Cruises operates the 308-passenger
Wind Surf and 148-passenger Wind Star
and Wind Spirit. The three sailing
yachts cruise to nearly 50 nations,
calling at more than 100 ports throughout
Europe, the Caribbean and Tahiti.
