SEADREAM YACHT CLUB JOINS THE INTERNATIONAL COUNCIL OF CRUISE LINES
MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (March 14, 2006) - The International Council of Cruise Lines (ICCL) announced today that SeaDream Yacht Club joined the membership of the trade association during the Seatrade Cruise Shipping Convention. SeaDream Yacht Club is based in Coconut Grove, Fla, and operates two 110-passenger ultra-luxury mega yachts. SeaDream Yacht Club is the 16th member line of the ICCL.
"We are pleased to welcome SeaDream Yacht Club as the newest member of the ICCL, said ICCL President Michael Crye. "Whether vessels accommodate 100 or 3,000 passengers, it is encouraging for operators to recognize the importance of working together to address the multifaceted regulatory framework of the maritime industry."
In commenting on its membership in the ICCL, SeaDream Yacht Club President & CEO Larry Pimentel said, "We may be a tiny fish swimming in a big industry pond but we are governed by the same international rules and regulations as the giants of our industry. We also need the same timely information and the same expert representation before government agencies and legislators as the big guys. The ICCL provides all of this and in the same even-handed way."
SeaDream has been recognized for its outstanding service and cuisine in publications such as Berlitz Ocean Cruising and Cruise Ships 2006 and Condé Nast Traveler. The two yachts in the SeaDream fleet, SeaDream I and SeaDream II primarily sail seven- to ten- night cruises in South America, the Caribbean, the French and Italian Riviera, Costa de Sol, the Amalfi Coast, the Greek Islands, and the Adriatic and Black Seas.
