D. VACATIONS BEHAVIOR AND ATTITUDES

Satisfaction with Travel Agents

Among travel agent users, satisfaction levels are moderate to high; the largest proportion (44%) claims to be very (but not extremely) satisfied. Cruisers (62% extremely/very satisfied) report somewhat higher satisfaction than vacationers (57%). By cruise segment, Destination passenger scores outpace (76% extremely/ very satisfied) other cruise types (small sample). Conversely, only one in 14 (7%) reports dissatisfaction with their travel agents; vacationers (9%) tend to be more critical than cruisers (5%).

Satisfaction with travel agents has deteriorated from the 2002 study (60% from 71% extremely/very satisfied).
